PRINCESSELIZABETH
Medium-sized water lily with pads from 12 to 15 cm in diameter, and 10 cm flowers.
Part of the Latour-Marliac patriotic series of water liles that were introduced during WW II (See also 'France' and 'Elysée'), this lily was named after Elizabeth II in a gesture of solidarity. It has a pleasant, light fragrance and bright orange stamens that contrast well with its pink petals. It is easy to care for and develops nicely. Profuse bloomer.
Plant one per 14 or 20 litre planting container at a depth of 40 to 60 cm in order to have approximately one square metre of surface coverage after a year or two.
