Large water lily with pads from 16 to 20 cm in diameter, and 14 cm flowers.
A truly exceptional lily, Slocum is said to have obtained this colour by crossing a red hardy with a blue tropical variety. For an original and eye-catching colour play, plant perennials like black-red hollyhocks, day lilies and bearded iris along the shore next to this lily.
Plant one per 20 litre Latour-Marliac planting container at a depth of 40 to 100 cm in order to have approximately one square metre of surface coverage after a year or two.
