Imagine that when this lily was introduced the only white water lilies people knew were the pretty but meek wild varieties that graced the odd pond and river. 

'Marliacea Albida', one of the classic varieties, was a sensation for its relatively huge and very profuse blooms. It is, along with 'M. Rosea' and 'M. Chromatella' one of the most famous of the Marliac hybrids

Plant one per 14 litre Latour-Marliac planting container at a depth of 40 to 100 cm in order to have approximately one square metre of surface coverage after a year or two
