Nénuphars

Little changed from the Early Cretaceous period, 125 million years ago, water lilies grow from rhizomes, much like iris, but unlike iris they are rooted in the bottom of shallow ponds, lakes and slow-moving rivers. Hardy water lilies will grow anywhere in Europe, and will survive winters even in northern Canada.

Lotus

Lotus are hardy plants that are extremely vigorous and imposing, but they are fragile at planting time and have unusual fertilizer and sunlight requirements. Lotus will grow anywhere in Western Europe, but they will do best in the regions with the most sun.

Other plants

There exist thousands of different aquatic plants. We have divided ours into four groups: moisture-loving , shallow-water, submerged, and floating. In general, aquatic plants tend to be on the invasive side, which means that they are easy to care for and multiply quickly, but must be managed so that they do not grow out of control.
