'Goliath', aptly named, is a giant of a pink lily that will garner much praise in the water garden.
This variety rose to prominence in 1913 when it was the subject of litigation between Latour-Marliac and his primary competitor of the day, Lagrange. The latter had apparently been selling some other lily as Latour-Marliac's 'Goliath.' Frustrated with nurseries that weren't selling true to name, Latour-Marliac took Lagrange to court and won.
Plant one per 20 litre planting container at a depth of 40 to 100 cm in order to have approximately one square metre of surface coverage after a year or two.
