'Bateau' is a charming lily with bright red petals and white sepals. Bateau means boat in English, but the lily was actually named after the parcel of land on which the Latour-Marliac nursery sits, which is referred to as "Bateau" in the land registry.
Plant one per 14 or 20 litre Latour-Marliac planting container at a depth of 20 to 60 cm in order to have approximately one square metre of surface coverage after a year or two.
