'Picciola' is perhaps the most underrated of Latour-Marliac's reds. It was not as widely experted as its cousins, 'Attraction' and 'Conqueror', nor is its red as deep as 'Escarboucle', but in formal terms 'Picciola' rivals any of these. Its flowers have a pleasing shape, and the tone of red they contain is striking. This lily is also a a very profuse bloomer, and it's easy to grow.
Plant one per 20 litre planting container at a depth of 40 to 100 cm in order to have approximately one square metre of surface coverage after a year or two.
