'Yellow Enigma' has very large cup-shaped yellow flowers that rise high out of the water. The flowers are of the deepest shade of yellow, similar to that of N. 'Mexicana'. It was named by the Rev. Charles Overton, when he discovered the mysterious stranger in 1995. The lily was probably the result of cross-pollination by bees.
Plant one per 20 litre planting container at a depth of 40 to 120 cm in order to have approximately one square metre of surface coverage after a year or two.
